Like very much the new function to generate PDF report, e.g., with covers. However, this always takes the whole colletion. It would be much more usefull if it woudl be based on the current filter. In my case, I would print one list with the movies for the kids, and one list with the movies for the parents. Now both are mixed and cannot be separated.

For now, this is technically very difficult, because filters are a local thing, while the PDF report function is generated from the online service based on what is in your collection.

If we at some point get to synchronize filters to the online service, then it may move closer, but for now, a no-go that we are aware of.

This would be highly useful indeed. I cannot use a report containing films I do not own by now, e.g. those on the wishlist.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I agree that would be fantastically helpful. The report would be handy to sit on the end table for folks to persue to decide what to watch. With my collection split among 2 houses, the reports are not at all useful for that purpose.

Totally Agree that value of the unfiltered reports is near zero to me. We can filter the database many useful ways today but without the ability to generate reports on these views makes the product much less useful. I am looking for alternatives to do this.

There are no current alternatives to this.

The report generator does not know of your filter, as the filter is local to your mobile device.

We hope at some point to be able to have filters be synchronized over the service, allowing for the report generator to know about these.

But for now, there is no such option, nor an alternative or workaround.

I understand it is design limitation today. I will look for other products to do this until you develop a method (Print PDF locally, send list of filtered Barcodes to online service, whatever). Because as fun and interesting as online use is, the ultimate need is for filtered paper reports - by location, by audience, by genre, by group, by category, by media type. etc.
