I would like to change the coverart manually within the iPad App, because somehow there are wrong covers submitted by the code-reader... E.g. Dark Knight. (I live in CH, so there seems to be a lack of info anyway...)

EDIT
Anyway, is this possible on the OS X version? I've seen it on the screenshots, but does it copy the "new" covers to the iPad, e.g.?

I agree !! There should be an easy process to change coverart directly from the iPhone too ! and this new covert should be approved by a moderator to update the profile in your database.

The reason we have not opened up for this is that we require scans in our database, and covers on profiles are not specifically for your account, but for the global profiles.

If we opened up, the chance would be we would get an enormous amount of cover photos and not scans.

I use the My Movies iPhone app exclusively with CM, the Collection Management application for the PC or MAC. I never allow the iPhone app to download any content from the web service. If I want to update the content of the iPhone app in any way I just export the needed database package from CM, then importing it to my iPhone via iTunes. This allows for me to enjoy any local content I have in CM on the iPhone app as well which is also not available on the web service for whatever reason.
