I have a Dune H1 (just received 3 days ago) and I'm having a problem exporting the meta data directory.

I am using WHS 2011 and have set up the Meta Data to export for a Dune by going to Settings>Meta-data>Configure HDI Dune>Configure Dune Path. I am attaching the pictures of my setup. I am saving the meta data to a directory on my WHS 2011 as you cannot export the meta data directory directly to the Dune from WHS 2011. (See attached screenshots)

The initial export from WHS 2011 exported about a 1/3 of the movies in the database. I have gone back and "cleaned" the data and then "updated" the data. I have gotten about 650 of my 1000 titles to export to the directory. However, I'm receiving the following error message: (see attached)

This occurs on both the 4.02 PR2 & PR3 versions.

Pleaes advise on how I can get all of my titles can export to the directory correctly. I also have tried this using collection management and can't get it to export all title either.

Thanks!

Don't know if this is the reason why but : you only have one path configured and should configure the other ones as well (the red ones)

Thanks - that didn't do it. Same error message.

I don't have any movies in those directories anyway. I have moved all of them under the "Videos" directory. Not sure why this is showing up, guess some titles didn't update correctly when I moved them.

Thanks for the reply.

Try posting a log of when you are trying an update.

ie clear out your log clean the index out reset logging on (if it is off) run a manual update then post the log after it fails.

This sounds like an entry in yourMM DB is maybe corrupt (it has been noted before) and by doing this someone should be able to decode what it is failing on so that the offending title can be moved somewherre else and then you go through the same process until it all works.

Can be tedious but hopefully you wont have many of them.

HTH

It errors out with an out of memory:

Common.SaveTitleInformation - Storing Dune title information failed 'Out of memory. at System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(String filename, Boolean useEmbeddedColorManagement)

Can you try to monitor the memory usage of your device?

Thanks Brian for the reply

I've used the Resource Monitor and taken screen shots periodically. Also, please note that I have 8gb of RAM in my machine. Thanks for your assistance and let me know if you need this in an additional format. Thanks!

The dashboard is using an enourmous amount of memory.

Can you close the dashboard and try to re-open it, and see if it before running the update is using so much, or if it is the update doing it?

Please find attached the screenshots of the memory usage before opening the dashboard and after opening the dashboard.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

I was just checking to see if you've had a chance to look at this yet.

Thanks! :-)
