Mm doesn't queue the changes if destination folder is not available (doesn't even give a small message window to say this...).

The only way to have th index correctly updated would be to setup the dune in Stand By mode instead of Power Off. In stand by mode any drive attached to the dune is always available over the network.

Thanks, I checked and you're right, even when the Dune is in stand by I can access the USB drive.

That's great. So hopefully when MM will be fixed my categories will update properly.

It is just my mind not working.

I think we have a ticket on this one.

I'll up it's priorities.

Hi Brian,

Any chance to see this fixed in the next pre-release? This category bug has been there for a long time now!

Thanks,

Manni

Is the category not updated bug fixed in 4.03 PR4? I saw a reference to the Dune index in the changelog, but it's not clear if it's this bug or something else...

This is not it - we have been unable to resolve this issue so far.

Can I get you to check if this resolves it?

(It can take a few minutes from the update until the index is updated)

Sure, I assume it's a different build from the PR4 in the download section? EDIT: just saw download is build 2 and this one is build 3.

I've just regenerated my Index with PR4, do I need to re-generate it again with build 3 or can I just use the one generated by PR4 build2?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's working.

I have deleted my index just after I installed PR4 build 2, and I've regenerated it from scratch.

I then installed this build 3.

I checked that one of my categories on the Dune was listing all the titles it should. It was.

I opened CM, selected a filter listing that category, and removed two titles (saving the changes of course).

I waited for about 10mn (leaving CM running all the time), and even after 10mn the category is still not updated on the Dune, it still shows in the category the two titles which have been removed in CM.

If I launch MyMovies on the iPad or the iPhone, the titles have been removed from the category as expected.

EDIT: even after 30mn, the categories are still not updated on the Dune index.

That one seems to work fine, well done!:)

The backlog of the two titles I removed with build3 was not done (as expected), but I tried to add/remove titles from different categories with the build above and they seem to be updated within a minute max.

That's great, thanks for taking the time to fix this.

I'm going to rebuild the index from scratch to make sure I'm up-to-date and I'll keep an eye on it.

I'll let you know if I notice some problems but for now it seems to be solvedCool .

Great news. I will also test on my side and see if it's working when deleting some episodes.

@brian : could you explain what is the API part for dune in the latest release ?

It is for system integrators which have control systems that should be created to work with My Movies.

It is not of interest to end-users really.

Thanks Brian.

made a quick test yesterday and all seems OK now. Will dig a bit further to see if it's definitvely OK.

BTW : running a full update is now much faster than before on my PC. Before = 3 to 4 hours (at least !), now = 30/45 minutes ! Did you improve something for the export ?
