I am very confused as to why (in WMC/MM) the disc overlay on some titles show up for some titles and not for others that have offline discs. Can someone please explain exactly how this works and how the hierarchy of the available discs entered in CM change this overlay being visible? Also when I list the online titles only, I still see offline overlays on some of the titles even when the offline disc is top or lower in the "Available discs" area. Why is this? Sorry to be abrupt but, I can not find any information about this and the explanations I have received thus far do not make any sense. Thanks for your time.

Be aware that you can enable or disable the display of these icons in the configuration.
But, it has nothing to do with the order of the discs - if one or more discs on the title have an online location, it gets the online icon.

I guess when the answer is you can turn this feature off, when it does not work correctly there is no hope of making it work correctly? I never asked about online title overlays. My problem is with the Offline title overlays. The OFFLINE overlays do not work correctly. I really dont know why you would have the online title overlays. would not most your titles be online? and least be offline? why put a icon on the majority when a icon on the minority will serve the function?

Perhaps it would make sense if you try to screendump what it is that you see? We have had one bug reported that discs could loose their ordering, which have been fixed in local code, ready to be sent out with next build, but we have only seen it happen in some very special editing scenarios. tiger67 wrote:I never asked about online title overlays. It comes down to what users typically do - if the majority of the titles are offline, it makes sense to use an online icon. I believe that the offline icon will only show if there are no online locations on a title. Is that not what you see? You need to be explain better what issues you are seeing instead of just "it does not work".

I just know this feature is not working correctly. If you read my first post, you will see I described the problem. But here it is again. The titles that show a offline Icon, some have a online disc associated with them. This is contrary to the way you have said it works. Please check it for yourself instead of asking me questions that are very hard to explain in text. take a few titles and add online and offline discs to each of them and see if you getting the same results. I have not been able find out why some do and some dont but it is definately not working as you have stated.

Can you try to be specific about what discs you have on your profile, what location types they have each of them, and what icon you see please?

No but thanks for the clearification. 101 Dalmations has a offline overlay on it. It has 2 discs associated with it. One is Offline as a DVD Disc, the other is Online as a path to where it is located on my server. this is one of many that do not work correctly. Other titles that have the offline icon are just a offline disc. These seem to be working correctly.

Ok. Then it indeed should have an "Online" icon if enabled, but no "Offline" icon if that is enabled. If it does not, that would be a bug. Can you try in that case to send us your database to review? http://kb.mymovies.dk/KnowledgebaseArticle50031.aspx?Keywords=databaseAnd, let us know the title in question.
