Hello, I have a Sharp 70" TV. It has the DLNA function. Can I set this up to stream movies from MY movies/Windows Media Center using wireless? If so, do I have to setup My Movies as a share to be seen on the network/TV?

Thanks

Just to make things clear there is a popular misunderstanding of what DLNA means, two DLNA devices can talk to each other and share data, what they can actually do with that data it is another matter. I have a DLNA certified TV but all it can do show JPGs and play an MP3 it has no support for video at all but it is still a DLNA certififed device.

I only point this out as an FYI that you potentially need to look for much more than just DLNA certification to be able to stream video etc.

Also what quality of content were you thinking of wirelessly receiving on your TV? SD/HD, if HD what resolution/bit rate?

I would imagine if your TV is 70" then it's relatively recent?

If you search for DLNA server software you may have better luck.

The typical problems with DNLA is that it can browse a folder structure, but it can't display meta-data of any kind.

Because of that DNLA have been very low priority for us.
