Hi,
I usually added all my Blurays and DVDs to MyMovies for iPad but in the last weeks I started to record movies from television.
If it was in high definition I used to take the bluray entry to add it to my collection, otherwise I took the data from dvd.
But what to do if there is an HD-recording without available bluray?
I would insert the movies as bluray but i cant cause there is no barcode-number, etc..
And I can't syncronize the "personal offline movie" to my iPad..
What could I do to reach the goal / is it possible to create a new category?

you can create a new 'local' title without barcode and from there you have two options you can sync with your ipad by doing a phsical export import of the database using the export option in cm, or once you have created your new title you can make it a 'personal title' in cm and these personal titles can be uploaded to the server without contributing to the comunity from there you can do an online sync as normal. (note you can only create a number of personal titles, 80 I think)

First thanks for your reply!
I tried this way before but all I get is the error-message:
"The Online Collection is now synchronized, but is not displaying the profiles, as 1 of them is not added as internal title from My Movies WebService, and 0 of them are partly loaded from external data providers. Would you likt to highlight the title in question now?""
I will try the database mode but its kind of uncomfortable cause I'm using to iPads with this app..

did you deffinately change them from being 'local' to 'personal' if their 'local' then they show an icon of a house if their 'personal' then it shows an icon of a person.

I wrote to the support.
If the only solution is to buy points I will return the app, get my money back and start using trakt.tv or follw.it again..
Nonetheless: Thank you for helping and showing up the problem :)

no problem, for sure there are options that are unavailable until you get enough points but even without these extra options mymovies is a great product and if you havent been using it for very long I would highly recommend you give it a chance, have you really got that many 'local' titles, if you can sync 90%+ of your titles via online personally I would just do the physical sync every couple of weeks say to fully sync those that get missed.

One thing that have been mentioned also in the e-mail, but for reference should be in this thread is that you can create manual titles without any additional requirements from the mobile device.
But, as the Windows application is available for free, this is not the case here, as it would mean that users without purchasing anything could take up storage on the online service.
Therefore, users of mobile applications must create these titles from the mobile application, although it allows for less information to be entered.

Just tried the export feature from windows application and started the import on my ipad...
"This was created by a older version. Please update"
I have both versions up to date!
