I worried I already know the answer to this question: does MM not support creating indexing information for TV Series where episodes are stored as files on the server ? Despite trying many things, I cannot get my TV Series share showing up in the path configuration on Metadata storage options for Dune. As my previous experience had been with Windows Media Center where the MM version is simply awesome for TV episodes, I had assumed the same kind of data could be exported to the Dune. This is a real killer for me as it was one of the main reasons I bought a Dune player in the first place - I already have other network media players (AC Ryan) but wanted the nice front end which I understand is great for movies but if there's no support for TV Episodes, it's a killer

TV Series are supported.
Which version are you running?

Hi Brian.
Running WHS v2 with v 2.1.1.3 (I guess it's 2.11 PR 3).
Just noticed the newer version and you put in the release notes that if fixes "Dune meta-data for TV Series was not stored with a full meta-data update."
Just to clarify: my issue is that in the path management, I only get entries for my Blu-ray folders (\\server\blu-ray-iso and \\server\blu-ray-files) but not my TV stuff (\\server\recorded tv).
I suppose that those entries are based on the online locations set via CM and so I was expecting to see my TV episodes appear in the list as I have definately their locations set in CM.
I'm in the process of backing up the DB and I'll try installing 2.11 PR4 build 2 and see if that fixes anything.
CM version is actually the WMC version 4.0.3 PR3. I can upgrade that to PR4 build 2 as well.
Thanks

As pictures are worth a thousand words :) Here's what I mean: In CM, it's all set up: But in the configuring the options from within CM, that path is not shown: If I go to the options within the server and have a look there, it's the same thing:

OK, I've done a full uninstall / reinstall of MM, started with an empty DB and just added some TV episodes to the Monitor. After a few minutes, they've been picked up and listed in CM. CM shows the correct path to the files, so everything's synchronised. I then go to to the Dune configuration screen in Meta Data Storage options, and the Path configuration list is empty. No TV episodes, nothing I've edited the thread title to make it clearer

I've reorganised my collection and have added a few more shares. CM has picked up on this and those new shares are added to the Path configuration list.
But still nothing for TV episodes :(
Any ideas? It's working fine in WMC, but I really want to be able to export the TV episodes locations to my Dune index so I can play back via Dune.
Is there any way to add them manually?
Please let me know if you need any extra logging or if there are other tests I can do.

OK, I've also done a test moving some of my TV episodes into another path which is listed, having regenerated the metadata.
Still no joy. The updated locations work fine in WMC but they're just not listed in the Dune export.

Any more ideas? Am I looking in the right place, or are TV episodes just not exported with metadata?
