Mass import tool - i.e. via .csv file (movie names entered in csv files, so there will be less work with each movie)

I would like for the IMDB Crew downloader to pick up additional categories automatically, particularly editor, cinematographer, music, and writers. Thanks.

Hi, been using this for the past few days and it's a fantastic product that does exactly what I need, well done developers. That said, I would like to echo the request on page one Quote:"I would like to see CM be registered with windows Auto Run for two activities, the first being disc copy with defaults; with this option when I inserted a disc it would automatically id, copy and add a title to my collection. Secondly I would like to have it registered to just add-it to the collection. When combined with the CM eject option I describe above I could just insert disk after disk without having to pay much attention just waiting for the drive to open." If it could work like an iTunes for movies with the load/rip/eject process as automated as possible it would be great. It's proably too late for me now as I've worked through half my collection. Unless.... there is an option for this and I've somehow missed it. Thanks EDIT: Further to the above, I use the Keyboard software Microsoft supply with their keyboards and it has a macro function, so I was able to record a series of keystrokes that more or less automates the process (and even cancels the AnyDVD* message). It's a bit of a fiddle, and you still need to press the button to trigger the macro but it might prove a useable work around in the short term. * Installing and/or using AnyDVD is illegal in some countries. Users are themselves responsible for complying with local law when installing and using AnyDVD.

Basically, in lue of the fact that windows media center is slow as crap no matter if you have a quad core $5000 computer or not, i would like CM to be able to play a movie with whatever media player you want and be controlled with a remote control.
This way i never need to use media center again and can stop the mess of ffdshow not decoding all the movies and a slew of other things. CM can do everything else MC can do so why not let it play a movie? Of course, i can just use it to decide what movie i want to watch then locate it on the hard disk but it would be easier if it atleast could open the movie source folder from the movie screen.
Should be relatively easy for you to implement.
couldnt have put it better myself this would be such a useful feature and wouldnt think it would be to difficult to achieve
my advice is given to help, my advice might not always be the best solution but is given to the best of my knowledge, my advice is not always approved by MyMovies and often isn't, if my advice ever suggests changing in any way a title from what is contributed on the webservice please insure no invalid changes are contributed, please read the following guides Disc Title Contribution Guide, Contribution Introduction, TV Series Contribution Guide

I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

I would like the ability to have an easter egg section for each movie in which we can list the different easter eggs a DVD may have.
Also it would be good to have a check box for 'This title has no director'.
I have ran into several DVDs that I own that done have a director. But all have producers.

When I view the Webservice history for a title and see that I sent an InvalidData report, I'd like to be able to click on the View icon and actually view the contents of my report. I don't need to see other folk's reports, just my own. This would make tracking what you were doing with multiple titles much easier, since the contents of your invalid data report is not included in the moderator reply emails to these InvalidData reports.

The ability to import my existing folders/data without destroying the data and images I've created, only overwriting if I give it specific permission to do so.
Sadly, I can't use the software as-is, as it whacked about 200 carefully archived disks with the data from the webservice, about 1/3 of which is incorrect, misidentifying my UK TV boxset disks and overwriting the existing information (including my lovely cover scans! Nooo!!!) without even asking. When it said "import" I thought it meant "import the information that's there" rather than "scan what's there but overwrite with arbitrary data from the internet, destroying my own data".
I've now got to drag the original disks back out of storage and scan covers again, correctly identify disk numbers, etc. etc. I'm most disappointed. It is going to take me hours. Thank goodness it only did one folder.

(I just thought I'd follow up on the previous comment by saying "but it is well worth it, even for that bit of pain!" It makes media center a pleasure.

I'm going to be cleaning up this thread a bunch and asking Brian to comment on the requests. I finally have a break from law school! :)

Import a movie collection (boxset) information from a site that has this information (e.g. http://www.themoviedb.org/collection/119-lord-of-the-rings-collection). Then be able to upload information to my movies servers other users to easily group their movie collections together.
I like to group sets of movies together (The Matrix, The Bourne series, Tranformers, etc. etc.), so this setting along with much easier setup of boxsets would be great. Option to have the delete button on the main "details" screen, and have the default delete setting be from disk (this is normal windows media center behavior I believe. It is standard practive for me to delete TV episodes after I have watched them, so making this easier would be very beneficial to me. For guys like me who use MC extenders, integrate the on the fly encoding of the TVersity product. This would provide FF and RW capabilities when watching MKV files, and not have to install media splitters. As well, with proper configuration, can get subtitles through the extender. Thanks for considering my requests. Just moved to this product from MediaBrowser, and the performance is SOOOOO much better. Still getting used to the media managment though. Thanks again.

More advanced filtering/search.
In particular it would be useful to filter which titles have local trailers and which titles do not have local trailers.

I'd like to see CM ported to a web interface for WHS so there is just one CM (The Web Interface) instead of having to install CM on multiple PC's. If that happens, I can envision it would come with some limitations. Anything requiring being able to read from a disc. Disc ID, chapter editing, TV episode mapping, etc.

Feature add: the ability to successfully add movies, contained in folders which have periods in them.
Thanks!
