Since many years I'm using a Dune HD Max for playback of movies, controlled by My Movies app in Iphone/Ipad. I like very much how this works and would like to continue to have it like this.

All my movies are saved as BDMV or VIDEO_TS, as I like to be able to play Blu-rays with menus. It's also important that the media player can decode HD-audio and send out as LPCM (7.1) over HDMI, as my HT-processor can't decode (no bitstream).

Dune HD Max still works fine, but I like to prepare my setup for 4K and HDR10+. I've started to look at the latest models from Dune:

The later have some features I don't need, but it do have two HDMI out. That would be good for me, if I decide to upgrade projector before processor.

I assume that not many have tried the latest models yet, but maybe something newer than HD Max?
What are you experiences, do they work well with My Movies and BD menus?

Is there any other media player working with My movies metadata and control from My Movies app that you recommend?

I don't care about any other apps and features in this media player. I have an Apple TV 4K, Intel NUC with Windows 7 and Squeezebox for music connected to my HT.
I just want a stable media player with high quality picture and sound that works good with My Movies, and no computer (HTPC).

Thank you for your reply Frodo! I've seen in your signature that you have both Dune and Zappiti, so I was hoping for you to see this!

What about the Zappiti, do it work with My Movies metadata and to start playback from My Movies app?

I've not tried DLNA with ATV, but it might be worth checking out. I have Infuse on the ATV, and have tried it a little.

I almost never browse movies on screen. I almost always use Ipad/Iphone app to browse movies and start playback from the app. Too bad it don't work with ATV.

I've recently ripped my first UHD and to try playback I used Infuse in ATV, worked fine. It's just that I want integration with My Movies app..

I think Dune HD Pro 4K Plus II has everything I need, so when it's available I probably will go for one of these. The only thing I can see missing to make it "future proof" is Dolby Vision.

I've found a similar player that have Dolby Vision, but I assume it don't work with My Movies: Zidoo Z10 Pro https://www.futeko.com/products/MP108.php

I've been in contact with Dune via e-mail and they replied quickly. They said then that Pro 4K Plus II was available for order. I read about shipping on their web site and then asked if they recommended to order from them or wait for it to arrive in Europe, and they actually recommended to wait.

I know you are outside EU so it might be different. For us in Sweden they have started to add more customs and fees on orders from China, and I assume it might be the same from Korea.

I'm a little confused with the shops in i Europe that seems to be official, but no one have the new players in stock.

When it comes to Futeko it says "Coming soon", but they don't ship to EU anymore.
