Hey guys, I've been having this problem for a while, but it's gotten worse lately, and I don't know what it even is.

So in my regular "Owned, For Keeps" collection TV series profiles are showing up randomly, sometimes multiple times. And sometimes they don't show up at all. Obviously I would rather them not show up at all, as it just clutters the collection. But I don't want to lose the series data (if that's what it's showing up for).
But I'm noticing certain TV series won't show up at all, but the DVD profile will still have the connected TV profiles, as they should, but some won't. Is there a reason for this.

The issues with TV Series is something I need to look into to determine why specifically.

What is your setting for "TV Series on Disc" in settings?

In regards to your box set - this typically has to do with the box set having lost the box set status.

One example is when a user contributes incorrect data - in some situations it is so bad that we have to roll back all the contributions of a user, and if a box set then gets rolled back to before it was contributed as a box set, it looses the box set status - as we do not delete titles from a users collection, they are kept in the collection, but now, as they are no longer part of the box set, as separate titles. Typically, we can though an incorrect data report determine when this happened for a box set, and revert it.

The "TV Series on Disc" setting is set to "Display Disc Titles". Which is how I prefer it. Switching it to "Display TV Series" doesn't resolve the issue anyway.

Ok, so, I am seeing different results after syncing your collection here.

Please initially remove the app, re-install it and re-sync - then let me know which of these things you still see.

I've done that twice now, and the results are the same. The most it will do is clear of some of the duplicates of the TV profiles. Like "3rd Rock From the Sun" will only 1 TV profile in the collection, instead of 6, but it will still have the profile mixed in with the collection there.

I also don't like having to delete and have to redownload the collection, unless absolutely necessary, because A) It takes forever, because my collection is large, and B) Doing so throws my logs (the "watched" logs on each profile) all out of wack. Like most of them will still be there, but now they'll be cut off or cut short, or they'll just be missing for some.

Sorry about the delay in reply, I've been busy and also trying to remember which profiles have missing data.

Okay, so here's three random profiles I came across, where after uploading the collection to a new device it loses a portion of the logs. These are for the Blu-rays in my collection of Legend, Men Women & Children, and Ratchet & Clank.

So these are the first random three I could think of. But it happens to a lot of logs on a lot profiles. Has been for a while. It's all completely random on which it happens with.

If you look, you'll see that the logs are cut short, in the middle of the sentence. Usually on longer logs. But again, it's completely random, I'll look at the logs before and after the above examples and they'll be totally intact. Even if they're also long ones.
Sometimes a log will disappear completely, but that's much more random.

Is this connected to the TV series profiles showing up in the collection multiple times? Because this is a fairly newer issue, and the logs have been an issue for quite a long time.

Ok, can you count the characters?

It looks as a field length limitation of the database - question is if it is the online database or the local one.

Looking online the "How" field is 255 characters, and the "Notes" is 4000.

Can I get the collection numbers of the three titles?

Ok, so, there was a stored procedure defining the input text for 255 characters - this is the limit you hit.

It means that anything about 255 characters is not stored in the service.

Please try now - however, this command sends a query string, and not an XML, so the query string can limit it also.

Oh okay, so there is a character limit. I thought it might be something like that, but it didn't seem likely, since like I said, other logs from around the same time have the same or more characters, yet are still intact.

I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling again. It may take a bit though, since the collection is large.

Okay, so I didn't totally understand the last post. I don't know what query strings are or anything...

But I did just uninstall, and reinstall and resynced everything.

It seemed to clear up the extra TV profiles showing up in the collection, but not completely.

So, if you'll notice some will still have TV profiles and some won't.
For example, "11.22.63" doesn't force its TV profile into the collection, but "3rd Rock From the Sun" and "30 Rock" still do.

And it looks like it's still cutting off the logs midway on certain ones. Are you saying that there is a 250 character limit for each log in the online server?
