In the "Media Center Player Settings", what Blu-ray/Ultra HD Blu-ray players does My Movies 4/5 support?

Is there some documentation or forum topic about all the players that are supported?

If I have Cyberlink PowerDVD 15/22, will I be able to choose between them?

I found this How-To but it's a little out-dated: "HD DVD and Blu-ray High Definition in My Movies".

Does My Movies support any other players besides TotalMedia Theatre and PowerDVD?

What is the last version of PowerDVD supported by My Movies 4/5?

This is functionality that have not been updated or supported for years.

I honestly cannot remember what version 4 supported, but I cannot recommend spending too much time on the Windows Media Center integrations - we are looking to deprecate that in full as of the next version.

I recommend looking here instead: https://chamconsoft.com/cmc/

How can I produce a log file in My Movies for Windows?

How can I fully uninstall My Movies for Windows

When you depreciate it in full, does that mean WMC users will no longer be able to open and use the collection manager?

I've seen a few people mention that for My Movies 4 they can still add titles manually without using the service. I tried installing MM3 and MM4, but I could not access the collection manager. How are those users able to access the collection manager? I keep getting the database error message even though it's a standalone install. I can access the collection manager using MM5 though.

I would pay money to be able to continue to use My Movies 5 for manually adding movies to WMC without using the service. Would you ever consider leaving a working version of My Movies 5 as a gift for the WMC community, that is fully functional for manually adding movies to WMC? Or maybe you could make it available as a one time purchase Laughing

There is no plans of deprecating access to the online service to the version of My Movies 5 which supports WMC.

But in the past, we have had some situations where we have needed to require updated versions to use the online service, and that could be the case at some point later on.

For now though, it is a matter of not including the WMC parts in the latest version, as it means we need to keep our common code in a very old .NET Framework version.

IF you are currently using wmc with mymovies, I suggest moving over to CMC as Brian suggested. I have been using CMC with mymovies 5 and I am very happy with it and it is now free. It works with all players such as powerdvd, vlc, MPC, Jriver, dvdfabs player, and maybe whatever else you can come up with and it uses the mymovies api. I run jriver and powerdvd myself. I use powerdvd for dvd and blueray tv series and jrivier for 4k movies
