Could we please see an upgrade to v4 to match the iOS version?

Have there been any changes to plans? The macOS version would greatly benefit from an update. I primarily use the iOS version just as a barcode scanner, but the main version I use is the macOS version. The tvOS version would also greatly benefit from an update, but I feel like that one is less likely than the macOS version.

I'd also love an updated macOS version, however on the new Apple Silicon (ARM) Macs, iOS applications run natively, so maybe that's the path forward?

binnerup wrote:There are still no plans of any new major versions on Mac, no. You likely really don't need to worry about supporting a separate macOS application, with Apple Silicon able to run iOS/iPadOS apps natively in macOS. I'm still on an intel Mac, but won't be long 'till I upgrade to an M-series (ARM) Mac. WWDC starts tomorrow, and Apple will likely announce the AS/ARM Mac Pro, thus ending the intel Mac lineup. Won't be long 'till they don't include x86_64 code in macOS, so not much point in developing an intel macOS application, especially if you have an iOS/iPadOS application.
