Hi, I was thinking of doing the cross-platform subscription, but I noticed that the macOS app hasn't been updated in 3 years... why should I subscribe to cross-platform if in fact the only platform supported is iOS/iPadOS? Is an update for macOS on the way? Any real benefit by switching to the new cross-platform subscription?
Thanks!

Okay, you're not releasing, or rather not planning to release a new version for the Mac. But why don't you make it possible to install the iOS version on a Mac with Apple Silicon processors (M1, M2, M3) with a multiple license? Other app developers also make this possible.

We are not planning a new major version - that does not mean we do not maintain the Mac OS X version. As long as we have a Mac OS X version, with the cost involved in having it, we won't make it an option to install the iOS apps for Mac - they were never intended for Mac, the interfaces are not at all intended for Mac, and if a percentage of the iOS users would choose not to use the Mac OS X app, we would be putting the Mac OS X app to the grave. The price of the standard platform subscription or the purchase price of the Pro version on iOS is intended to cover mobile app usage, and not desktop usage.
