I posted this on app review: " Not sure what they did... I have this app installed in my iPhone and iPad. I haven't made any changes to the database but I'm constantly asked to synchronize these devices: "Changes have been made to your collection, would you like to synchronize now?" Once done from one device, the other device will ask the same thing. Tiresome." Here is the response: "Hi. This sounds like a corruption in the internal database. Remove the app from the device, and re-add it from the store - log in and let it re-sync. Contact support@mymovies.dk if you continue to see this." Ok tried this a few times but it did not work! PS: removed the app and reinstalled the database took a very long time!

Hi, First of all - do you have multiple devices, or only one? Then, have you attempted to re-sync your data completely (yes, it takes some time) by removing the app and re-adding it? And, if you did, do you straight away see this message. If you click synchronise on the settings page, does it start a sync? And if you click it again right after it finalised, does it at any time say already synchronised? Notice that if you have "Update Profiles" enabled, it will ask to sync each time there are changes to any profile in the service. Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5? Sorry but my original post did answer your questions but I will repeat:
. Yes, multiple, one iPhone and one iPad. . Yes, I removed the app completely then reinstalled and re-synced, each device. . Yes, I still received the same message afterwards.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would say please read the admin's post above.
Note a sync is not triggered only by you making changes or adding an item to your collection.
If you have updates turned on any time there are updated data/covers etc. for any of the items in your collection it will trigger a sync on every device that does not have that updated data until it is up to date. Those updates will be caused by any data/covers etc. being added/changed on any item in your collection when any other user with those items contributes to them.
So if you have updates on it is entirely normal for you get the prompt to sync even if you personally haven't made any changes, the main profile data is shared just like someone updating a page on wikipedia, if someone else makes a change you will get a sync prompt and receive that data as an update if you have updates turned on.
How frequent those updates might be will depend on how large your collection is, how main stream or obscure the titles in your collection may be and how complete they are so you might receive updates extremely frequently or rarely depending on what you have in your collection and if/when other users contribute updates to those items.
So the behaviour you describe in your post is potentially entirely normal if you have updates on.
So do you have update profiles enabled?

Thanks andycob for chiming in... I just double checked on both devices and the option Update Profiles as well as Automatic Synchronization are disabled.

Yes, it DOES. But then, when open the app on the OTHER device it'll ASK to sync it again. A Groundhog Day scenario!
