I've also just discovered that changes in file location are not propagating from the desktop to the app. When I removed a category from the iPhone app the other day, in addition to pushing the category changes to the desktop, it also pushed an old file path -- pointing to a server I'd not used in years.

Edit to add disclaimer: It's possible I changed these file paths years ago using direct database access (MS SQL Server), which would explain why the changes were not propagated. The category problem still remains unresolved.

This morning, this movie was in two categories: "Scott’s never seen" and "Watch soon". Since I watched it today, I removed those two categories in Windows MM and saved the title. After I sync my phone, it still shows this movie in those two categories.

One possibly interesting thing. Some time back I changed the apostrophe in "Scott’s never seen" from a simple ASCII single quote to a proper Unicode apostrophe (Alt-0146 in Windows). I notice the category shown on the phone still has the old ASCII quote in it. The "Watch soon" category has not changed names.

I recorded a log while removing "Scott's never seen" category from
Wonka. I tried to send it using the Debug > Send Log menu item, but
nothing happened, and this notice appeared in the log (even though
logging had been disabled by that time):

year ago, all like these. The timestamps all seem to correspond to
when I'm adding new movies in Windows MyMovies.

I will attach the complete log from when I removed "Scott's never
seen" from Wonka. I confirmed that the bug is evident on my iPhone,
which still shows this category on that movie even after sync. (Since then,
I've added the category back on to that movie.)
