While testing version 6, I experienced several issues during the first synchronization after logging in. 1. Very long initial sync The first full sync took a very long time (around 10 minutes). This may be related to the test environment, but it is long enough to make the app feel unresponsive. 2. Sync failure message requiring manual restart During this initial sync, I received an error message prompting me to restart the synchronization manually. 3. Sync does not continue in background (informational) When leaving the app, synchronization stops and does not continue in the background. I assume this is by design and not a bug, but I wanted to mention it. 4. Cannot edit items during sync While sync is in progress, it is not possible to edit items (e.g., changing a borrowed DVD’s status back to “returned”). I’m not sure if this is intentional, but it can be inconvenient.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. So.. 1) Is this the sync check before it starts syncing, or? 2) I would have liked to see which message this was, but it could sound like a connection issue to the service. 3) This is by design - it cannot run in the background technically - another background worker can be created, and this is something we are looking into in the future, but not for the V6 release. 4) This is also by design - you cannot make changes to your collection until you are in sync.
