It sounds like you're hitting a maximum attachment size limit, so zipping it should do the trick?

Since i haven't heard anything in over a week i thought i would try following your instruction again. i uninstalled the software, ran the clean tool, reinstalled the software then restored from the service, and about halfway through restoration i got the error message once again. It is able to restore about half of the more than 6000 titles i have in my collection, stopping most of the way through M. i will attempt to attach the log file to this post. If it is too large i will zip the file but hopefully i can just attach it as is. Please help! File Attachment(s):
log.txt (912kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

The log here unfortunately does not include the sync attempt, but a lot of processing in the background. Please do the following: - Start collection management. - TEMPORARY stop the "My Movies General Service" in services in control panel. - Clear the log - Click to synchronise to receive the error. - Grab the log and post it. - Start the service again. i had been downloading version 5.40 from the download page. i now see version 5.41 Pre Release 4. So once again i uninstalled the software, ran the clean tool, reinstalled the software then restored from the service, and once again i got the same error message, this time earlier than before. Last time it made it about halfway through the more than 6000 titles i have in my collection, stopping most of the way through M. This time it only made it about 2/5 of the way, stopping partway through F. i will attach the log to this message. File Attachment(s):
log.rar (374kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

i followed your instructions. i started the software, stopped My Movies General Service in the control panel, cleared the log, then clicked to synchronize, and instead of immediately giving me the error like last time it actually started loading more titles. Like the time before last it made it most of the way through M, in fact stopping at the exact same title. i will attach the log file to this post. File Attachment(s):
log.rar (1,066kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Just to be thorough, i went through the process again. i started the software, stopped My Movies General Service in the control panel, cleared the log, then clicked to synchronize. This time i immediately got the error. i will attach the log file to this post. File Attachment(s):
log.txt (1,072kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

I know this is an old thread but I too am suffering from this error, and I have included my log file as required. I originally sent this support request via email just over 2 weeks ago but didn't receive any response, so here it is again. What happened: "Last night before going to bed I submitted the last of my 2500 contribution points needed to unlock all features of the My Movies Collection Management application. I then finished the session, as always, by synchronising my database on both my Windows application and my Android application, and had no issues whatsoever. This morning, I’m happy to say my points had been updated and I now have the full version of the software BUT I now have a Synchronization Error “There was a problem storing data into the internal database - synchronization aborted.” and consequently my database fails to Synchronise. It failed on both my Desktop (MS Windows 10 Pro) and Laptop (MS Windows 11 Home) which both have Collection Manager 5.41 (Pre-Release 5) for Windows installed. I tried Synchronisation on my Android Mobile app and it seemed fine. I only mention the 2500 contribution point milestone as it was the ONLY thing that changed while I slept and perhaps that may help you identify something in the “update-to-full-version” code that may have caused the issue ?? That aside, I checked your forums and found some members experiencing this same issue back in 2020, and noticed predominantly that you were able to identify a corruption in the database by viewing their log file. Please find mine attached to this email. If you could please have a look into this problem, that would be much appreciated as I still have a lot of work to do finalising my collection entries." UPDATE: Although I still get the synchronization failed error, it does seem to update my changes. It then just fails right at the end of the process and kicks up the error. I could continue working this way EXCEPT the error is preventing me from adding new titles in the Windows application... whenever I try to Add Titles it insists on Synchronising first and then fails without continuing the Add Titles process. I try again, same thing over and over again. Please help. Very Respectfully, Michael Kavanagh Mix2025 My Movies Collection Manager 5.41 (Pre-Release 5): Desktop (MS Windows 10 Pro), Laptop (MS Windows 11 Home), Mobile (Android 13) N.B. I don’t use and haven’t tried any WMC applications thus far so you could potentially rule out any DB corruption due integration with that application. File Attachment(s):

Thanks for the advice binnerup. I downloaded the new Pre-Release version and installed it onto my Win10Pro Desktop. After the quite lengthy first Synchronization that the application directed me to do, it seems to have fixed the issue previously described. I then installed that same version on my Win11Home Laptop, observed the same process as before and it too has fixed the issue.
For your awareness, the file I downloaded "My Movies for Windows 5.41 Pre Release 9.zip", once unzipped and executed, indicated that it was actually version 5.41 Pre Release 8 during the installation process. Once installed, Help/About also indicates that the version is 5.41 Pre Release 8, so if there is a Pre Release version 9 available, I can't find the link to it.f
Thanks again.
