I updated to Android 10 on my Pixel 3XL a couple of days ago. After the upgrade MyMovies generated a system error message:

SD Card unavailable
Your SD card used for storage is currently not available

Failed to access path "/sdcard".

The message persisted across reboots. I had to clear the application data (under Apps Storage in Settings) to fix the issue. Clearing the cache wasn't enough. Clearing the app data meant it has to re-sync the entire database.

So it works but people may need to clear the data.

I had the same problem. Clearing storage worked. Thanks.

Indeed, clearing "Cache" and "Storage" will resolve, and is the only solution we have on this issue, as it re-creates the storage in a place Android 10 supports.

/sdcard is a virtual directory which devices supported until Android 10.
