Hi, just curious, since current version 5.40 has been with us since January 13th 2021, are there plans for a new version of My Movies in the pipeline somewhere?
If so, what can we expect of that version related to functionality, ease of use, etc.
What I'm missing for example in My Movies is how to enter (and differentiate) Cast and Crew members with same name.
Also some tweaks in some parts of the tool would be appreciated, like for example show Purchase Place in alphabetical order, gets some additional languages (like Latin Spanish, Canadian French, etc.) and perhaps some other stuff I'm forgetting at this moment.

I'm looking forward to when we have a version that don't require Writer for Music (and Documentary) titles. There is many titles that could be 100 % complete if this wasn't required. https://www.mymovies.dk/forum.aspx?g=posts&t=46318

Hopefully it will be soon... Many of us have been living with that bug where My Movies will lose context to a movie title that was recently added or updated, but instead put the focus on the title that is at the top of the My Movie tree... It has been a year of frustration and hoping to get this critical bug fixed!!

Noticed all the threads and messages concerning the focus issue have been removed from the forum... Hopefully that means that the issue has been resolved.....

Hopefully the new version will allow me to get off the server version, which I am running in a virtual machine currently.

Sorry missed your reply.
I am currently using My Movies in Server 2016 which I want to retire.
I would like to move the database to a local (standalone) installation on my laptop (Windows 11). I believe you told me one time it wasn't possible due to different SQL versions?
This is why I haven't been contributing like I did in the past.

That was correct, but no longer I believe. It comes down to which SQL Server the app is installed with - you cannot restore a database onto a prior version of SQL Server. Windows 10/11 fresh installs today installs SQL Server 2014 R2. I believe Server 2016 would be installed with SQL Server 2012 SP2. So, you should be able to do this.
