I am having about 15% of my videos fail during video conversion. I noticed the HandBrake file is the 32bit version and from 2015. Can I just replace the HandBrakeCLI.exe file with the up to date and 64bit version?
Do you have a Transcoder Profile editor so I can make a few changes? I would like a preset that does the m4k 1080P with AC3 passthrough, DTS passthrough & 2.0 audio all in the same file.
Is there a transcode log file that I can look at to see why they are failing?
Thanks

We are no longer developing on the server solution features including video conversion. Chance is that the source is copy protected. You can replace the file if the parameters is unchanged - I am not aware of that is the case. I do not believe you can change it for a 64-bit version as the program is running in WOW mode (32 bit on 64 bit OS), meaning it likely won't be able to call the 64-bit version. I figured out why I am having so many failures. It looks like a bunch of the movies are using no-break spaces instead of spaces.
Here is what the transcode log shows: G:\Movies\What a Girl Wants ‑ (Full Screen)\VIDEO_TS
Here is the disk in Collection Management: G:\Movies\What a Girl Wants ‑ (Full Screen)
Here is the disk: G:\Movies\What a Girl Wants ‑ (Full Screen)
If I paste the Collection Management or disk location into Notepad++ with show all characters on, I get something like this: G:\Movies\WhatNBSPaNBSPGirlNBSPWantsNBSP-NBSP(FullNBSPScreen)
Was it an issue with one of the version that put no-break spaces in instead of spaces? Do you have a quick fix for this, or should I just start editing all the folders and file locations?

I really hope you have a good way to modify them. I just checked and it looks like I have 1031 that need to be updated.

I know My Movies originally created the folders. I would assume it created the the no-break spaces, but I have no way to verify. I have updated the server twice over the past 20 years and used syncing programs to move the data store. It could have been one of those programs that did it. I am guessing this wasn't a common issue or you would have known about it. Anyways, it happened and now it needs to unhappen. :) If it were only that easy, right!
Ok, I used PowerRename to change all the folder names. That was super quick and painless and only took about 5 seconds. Big issue! It cleared the results as it changed the names and didn't log what it had done. Do you know of a way I could modify the database in the same fashion? Something like open the database and do a search and replace on the disc location table.
Thanks for all your help on this. And thanks for all your work on this wonderful program over the years.

I am thinking these had to of been from when I was running my original Windows Home Server.
I think I have all the disc locations updated. That was quite the endeavor. During the process I ended up finding a few Titles that had been switched to offline even though the files were still on the drive. I also found a few folders that had all the files including the My Movies xml files in the folder but no title for it in My Moves. I have known for a long time I needed to cleanup the database. This conversion just pressed the issue a bit.
For the conversion, I having switched to using the full version of HandBrake for a bunch of the Titles that just fail without any real error. I also need to go back and look over the converted files. I have already found a few that only converted the first 10 seconds.
