Just a heads up: I just tried to install the official 5.41 release, downloaded straight from the website. Installation instantly gets aborted because Windows Defender detects a Trojan and thus a severe threat. Detected: Trojan: Win32/Wacatac.B!ml
I am pretty sure that it's a false positive due to heuristic behaviour, but nevertheless I'd like the My Movies team to warrant that everything is fine before I will try the installation again. Thank you.

Thank you. I am also getting this for 5.4.1 and 5.4.2 prerelease, and Webroot keeps removing the setup file "threat found and eliminated". How do I get around this, please?

Webroot wasn't happy about being turned off. The best I could manage was to snooze it long enough to run the My Movies for Windows 5.42 Pre Release 1 install. As soon as it woke up, it found and removed the downloads again, identifying "Win32 alware-gen" or similar and destroying the installation zip files again. Now when I run MyMovies 5.41 (not 5.42?) it intervenes and says this program is trying to connect to the Internet and cannot be trusted. I've persuaded it to leave MyMovies alone for now. We'll see what happens when the observation timer runs out.

It is not wrong - the app is connecting to the internet - that is the whole point of it - it stores your data in our online service, and loads your data from here. Perhaps it is worth considering getting rid of this anti-virus - Microsofts built-in tools in Windows are tested to function well. Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5?
