Hi there,
I am using MyMovies for a long time now to manage my collection.
For a few years now, I am also running Emby Media Server for the Movies and TV Shows I have...
For the moment, I don't use any function for ripping the Disks provided by MyMovies, since this will be done by MakeMKV and Handbrake - then the files are imported into Emby, and Emby does search for Metadata through IMDB and other providers.
MyMovies is at that point only the interface where I add new disks or manage duplicates... and this is what I would like to change.
I see, that I can add an Online-Version (file or folder) into the disk options of a Movie within MyMovies... but since there are a lot of movies which I need to change, I wonder if there's a way to automate this...
Therefore, I would consider of writing a small script...
this script should:
a) connect to the MyMovies Database
b) read all movies within a group (in this case the group "digital")
c) read the original title + IMDB ID from the movie
d) search for the same movie on my server
e) add the file location from the server to the Disk Information in MyMovies
Do you think, that could be possible?
If yes, I would need some additional information how I could connect to the Database with an external Software...
Or maybe, this is already possible in my movies and I just haven't found that option?
I would also consider to read the "watched" flag from Emby (for a specific user) - and if a movie is set to watched, it will also copy this information to the MyMovies Disk...
