The Movie Collections feature is a little wonky, and seems not being consistently moderated like it used to be. I have several questions or items that need to be adressed/answered.

#1: I have clicked the "Discover Collections" button and added collections and a duplicate collection appears. I have requested that one of the two dupilcates be removed from the database, even recevied a confirmation e-mail that it has been removed, but when I click "Discover Collections" again the duplicate collection still shows up. This is in regard to the "Beethoven" collection. Can the duplicate collection please be deleted from the database so there is only one "Beethoven" Collection.

Also, not so sure that the "report incorrect data" feature in the Windows application works as I don't get e-mail responses to my reports there, but I do get responses when reporting through the iOS app. Can you confirm that the reporting feature works for all apps?

#2: I had a Collection that I contributed that was rejected, understandibly so, as it didn't exactly fit the contribution requirements, that is fine by me. The collection I contributed was converted back to a personal title, which is also fine. But, I want to delete it completly from my database, and neither app allows this to happen. I delete it and it goes away, and when I apply the "Discover Collections" button, in either the Windows or iOS apps, it shows back up again, as a personal title. I want to completly remove this collection, is there a way to do that? This is in reference to the "Wonder" collection. Can a Personal Title in collections be deleted so it doesn't show when trying to "Discover Collections"?

#3: Are the new contributions being monitored like they were in the past? I have seen several new collections that have been added to the database recently that have an incorrect title that includes the word "Collection" in the title. I have edited them when I see them, but how are they getting through the moderation when being contributed. The "Wrong Turn" collection had this and I fixed it, and now the "Hulk Collection" needs to have the same done to it, and in actuallity I think this shouldn't be a collection at all, as the two movies included in the current collection technically are not sequels or in the same movie "universe", I think I tried to contribute this exact collection years ago when the collection feature was first implemented, or at least discussed it with a moderator at the time and it was decided it should not be a collection, but now someone else has contributed and it is in the database...

These should be both reported and handled from all devices.

#1 - I have just looked into the Beethoven collection - indeed, there were two - if a moderator who it to be handled, please forward that response to support@mymovies.dk - I looked at both and deleted the newest created - note - titles only gets marked deleted, they are not completely deleted to avoid users loosing them in their collection.

It is clearly a mistake that it was approved in the first go - all movie collections are moderated, and the page tells if included titles are part of other collections, so clearly a moderator mistake.

#2 - There is not directly, no - titles that are personal, and no longer part of a collection over a longer time will at some point be cleaned up by the service, but you cannot initiate this manually.

#3 - Yes, they are. Sometimes though, you know more about what is sequels than the moderators do - in that case, report it in, so that we can handle it afterwards. You are correct that collections must be true movie sequels - universes can be created using lists.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for checking into this. re:

#1: I can confirm the duplicate "Beethoven" collection has now been removed.
#2: Noted, too bad there is no way to clean this up sooner than waitng for the system to "eventually" do it. Guess I just have to deal with that personal collection entry continuing to show up for the forseeable future. What is the usual timeframe for removal, months, years?
#3: I will officially report that the "Hulk Collection" collection is not in compliance with Movie Collection protocol and request to have it removed. My added concern is that collections are being approved with the word "collection" in their title, and it had been previously discussed at some length that the protocol is to NOT include that word in the title, as it is redundant.

Hi Joe,

2: This is something we do manually every once in a while, it is not automatic. It is quite hard on the database, so we manually do it in down periods sometimes - there can be a lot of time between.
3: Agreed, please report those that you have.

We have gone over the movie collections and adjusted those that used "Collection" in the title.

If something re-appears, please create incorrect reports, and then we can create some incorrect contribution informations for the users contributing it.
