Using the "Paste Source Code from IMDB" into the Crew data pasted the Writers from the IMDB entry, but did not paste the Director.
I've seen this a few times, but most recently it was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (IMDB-ID tt0026714) Movie record. The Director field was already populated in the record, and when I pasted the source code from the IMDB "Full Cast & Crew" credits, the Writers data was written into the record, but the Director information was not. The existing Director information was written over.

Using "Paste Source Code from IMDB" into the Crew data, it pasted the Writer, but not the Director for "Laws of Gravity" (IMDB-ID tt0104693). Both Director and Writer records were present before the Paste operation. After the Paste operation, only Writer was present.

Some issues so far. I'm assuming, since the goal is to populate a Movie record with Cast & Crew information, and then inherit it into a Title record, there are a number of problems. 1) There are no "Import IMDB" buttons in the Movie interface. This means you must import into the Title using the buttons, and then copy/paste them into the Movie. This is very inefficient in the best cases (when you do have a Title) and counter-productive if you are trying to create Movie records without a dedicated Title record (such as looking to link the individual Movies for a box-set such as "Early Short Films of French New Wave", barcode 854565004078). 2) The pop-up instructions are misleading. If you are waiting to dismiss the pop-up until after the record is retrieved, as you are instructed, you will wait forever as the search doesn't seem to start until after the pop-up is dismissed. Be more explicit that you have to close the pop-up, or start the search in the background. You might also consider changing the button label on the "Check Title" pop-up from "OK" to "Close" to eliminate ambiguity/confusion about the "OK in lower right" in the prompt text itself, which refers to an entirely different screen. 3) The returned record display puts the "OK"/"Cancel" outside the screen boundaries so you can't see it or get to it. If you use the scrollbar to scroll all the way down, you can only scroll through the retrieved data, and the "OK"/"Cancel" prompts remain outside the visible window on the screen. You have to manually resize the retrieval window and then move it in order to be able to see and act on the "OK"/"Cancel" buttons. Constrain the size of the retrieval window so that it is all within the screen boundaries. 4) The "IMDB" buttons seem to work as expected in "Title", including with the new confirmation prompts. The previous problem with not all "Director" and "Writer" data being imported has been solved, and so far the Cast and Crew records are being written in the correct order. But as noted above, the "IMDB" import buttons should really be present in the "Movie" screen for "Cast & Crew" to facilitate creation of Movie records that can be inherited into or attached to disk Title records. (see attached for imported Cast & Crew from IMDB into Title, and post-manual-copy/paste results in Movie with no "IMDB" buttons.) See attached files. More later... File Attachment(s):

Seems by your screenshots to be the case on low res screens - which resolution are you running? deprongmori wrote:4) The "IMDB" buttons seem to work as expected in "Title", including with the new confirmation prompts. Laptop monitor resolution is 1366x768.
I know that the "IMDB" button has never been on the Movie screen, but given the emphasis on populating "Cast & Crew" in Movie records rather than in Title records, it really should be. Hopefully it will not be too difficult to add using a link to the same code.
