This is a long-standing bug, which is still present in the current version.

I know that MyMovies wants a synchronization before the "Add Titles" function. So, I initiate a synchronization using the "Synchronize" button in the toolbar at the top of the screen. The synchronization runs successfully to completion.

I click the "Add Titles" button, and MyMovies must complete a synchronization before I can add titles. Why is this duplicate synchronization necessary?
