I just updated the cover for a title and corrected some details. After uploading both, I checked the smartphone app to make sure the update actually went through. However, with some titles, they aren't updated immediately but apparently need to be reviewed first.

However, it’s not clear in the Windows program whether this title is being reviewed first. So you start to wonder if you did something wrong during the upload and are tempted to upload the data again.

For the title in question, the OK by a moderator appeared a few minutes later, and the changes were then visible in the app as well. But perhaps a note could be displayed somewhere indicating that this specific title must first be reviewed by a moderator.

Or am I missing something?

I believe the contribution message would say so - what exact message do you get after contributing?

Good point. Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot. But I'll read it carefully next time.

But why is there a distinction between certain films in the first place? Why does one film need to be approved while another does not?

Ideally, everything would be reviewed, but we do not have the capacity to do that.

Therefore the system picks what is reviewed based on a lot of different criteria:

- The users previously earned contribution points.
- The users previous count of declined contributions.
- User warnings.
- The data depending on some automatic checks.

So, basically, you can say that the more correct contributions you make, the less the system will pick your contribution for review.
