I've searched all over for the answer for this and haven't seen anybody mentioning the same thing. It's probably due to the fact that I'm searching for the wrong keywords but I don't know how else to search for it. Basically it seems that multiple Disney movies that a client has created backup copies for will not play on my Media Center through My Movies. I can play the disc without issue but the backup copies will only play the initial Disney intro with Tinkerbell flying around the castle and then it just repeats over and over again. I can't even push the "DVD Menu" button because it just repeats the same thing. I have checked to make sure that the whole movie has been backed up because it shows the right amount of space and if I go into Windows and choose to play one of the larger .VOB files it plays without issue. It has to be something with the way it ripped the chapters but I can't figure it out. If anybody has run into this issue and knows how to fix it please let me know. I THINK I had this problem with another movie as well but definitely most of my newer Disney flicks have the same issue.

This MAY be a problem with some other software the client is using but I think it is probably more likely My Movies. He is running the latest version, not Pre-release but it has been happening in the past few versions as well. I'm SURE it's not a problem with the coding of My Movies itself but rather something on his system that is conflicting with My Movies working correctly. Thanks!

I've had this problem in the past with DVDs. Make sure that if you are using anydvd* that it's the most recent version. Try ripping on a different Pc if possible. Sometimes you can have problems with DVD/blu-ray drives. If you are using anydvd* to rip the disc, try to rip it through anydvd* itself and not through MyMovies/CM, or try different ripping software. Make sure the discs are clean. If they are dirty, then you can have trouble reading the disc. You can get a corrupt rip, or it won't read all or a portion of the disc if it's dirty. Depending on the title Anydvd may need to be patched especially for very new titles. Check the anydvd* forums to see if other people are having a problem ripping the same titles. MyMovies just passes the title info to the player for playback. Its not really a MyMovies issue. You can't really fix it other than re-ripping the disc to try to correct the structure. You have a couple of bad rips that you have to do over.
