I to would like to see it come to Amazon Fire TV, the Amazon Fire TV Stick can connect to a 5GHz wireless network where as the Chromecast will never do anything better then 2.4GHz and find it not feasible to have a wifi router sitting near it (with in cm) just so that it plays. When playing back high def blu-ray movies I get ALOT of buffering from the Chromecast and get so annoyed I have to go to the movie room and watch it through the PC app so that it has the bandwidth for the mounted ISO. I've read google doesn't have plans to update the ChromeCast for 5GHz. Please please reconsider Amazon Fire TV as a playback device.
