1) Is it possible to perform a video transcode to MKV directly from the optical disc, or must MyMovies first make an ISO as it is doing on my system. Perhaps there is a setting I'm not getting, but I'd like to just rip the MKV
2) Does the MVK option use some sort of internal database to determine what the correct main titles and forced subtitle tracks are? The biggest challenge I've had (using Make MKV) is hunting for the correct main title and forced subtitle settings (English). I am using Dune Smart series player exclusively.
3) Should you be able to load an existing BDMV folder into the transcoder queue and make an MKV. The Dashboard lets me browse all titles, add the title to the queue, but it fails every time. Not sure if this a known issue with transcoding. I have over 400 BDMV titles, so being able to transcode from those files as opposed to re-ripping from original disc is pretty much required.
4) The Dashboard does not honor the destination location set for video encoding. In MyMovies, I have it set for the desktop, but in Dashboard, it is setting the MKV destination the same as the source location with no way to change it.
thanks

1) You can set the disc copier target to "Video Converter", and then it copies directly. 2) The main movie title is determined first based on the meta-data, which is meta-data you can contribute to the service. Forced subtitle tracks are unfortunately not currently handled, but it may be something to do through meta-data in the future. 3) You should if they are 1:1 copies - try to post a log of the failure. 4) I believe this issue should have been resolved in the latest Pre Release, please check.
