I'm using the latest app on an iPad. I use the German version, thus it could be, I don't use the right terms when translating back.
When I started to use the app, I sometimes added e-titles as discs because there was no movie available. I have now started to add the missing movies with the Windows app, but have problems to switch the entry from disc to movie.
I did the following:
With MyMovies Collection Management on Windows:
Selecting the disc title, “adding movie” (“Film erstellen” in German) in the context menu, complete the information and contribute the new movie.
On the iPad:
Delete the disc. -> Neither the disc nor the movie can be found on the iPad.
When I then try to add the movie, the + icon is grayed. When I go into the details, I see everything and I’m able to change the personal data. When I try to delete the movie, I get an error message saying that “this TV series is a virtual part of one or more disc titles and cannot be deleted. If you want to delete it, press the button “disktitel” and then delete the title”. But there is no such button and the title is also not a TV series.
The titel is still not available in the regular views, but I'm not able to add it, because (only) there it is available.
Did I do something wrong? How can I add the movie?
Thanks

This problem is related to my post in the Windows support group (http://www.mymovies.dk/forum.aspx?g=posts&t=40206)

I am not totally sure but I believe you have miss-understanding what you are adding and deleting. So I'm guessing but maybe:
The new generic movie data attaches automatically to a disc title based on the IMDB ID provided it already exists, if you use the 'create movie' option on a disc title where the generic does not exist you create it attached to the disc title. Deleting the disc title will then also remove the generic attached to it. You would nee to either create the generic separate from the movie or add the generic again from the web service after deleting the disc title with the attached generic. A generic movie profile can exist as both an individual entry in its own right and as data attached to a disc title, when attached to a disc title, deleting the disc title also deletes the attached generic.

No that is not the issue. After deleting the disc, I'm not able to add the generic movie. The + in the dialog is grayed. But when I search for the generic movie in my collection, It cannot be found.

See the pictures: Step 1: American Sniper is available as disc. Step 2: I delete the disc. Step 3: Neither the disc of the generic movie can be found. Step 4: I try to add the generic movie, but the + is grayed. I can go into the details of the generic movie. When I try to delete it, I got a strange error message. . File Attachment(s):
