I've been using My Movies for years now with different Windows operating systems and Windows Media Center. I've ripped my movie collection to the hard drive using Any DVD HD and play them as I mentioned through Windows Media Center. However, Windows 10 does not have Windows Media Center so how does one play the movies in their library?

You can try the wmc hack in the digital life forums, but there is always a risk the MS will remove it in the future. I have been using it for a while now and works well. http://lifehacker.com/get-windows-media-center-running-on-windows-10-with-a-f-1729919907

Here is another approach for Windows 10 / Windows Media Center . . . [ robertus] Just for your knowledge, you can and I have MCE running in windows 10. I upgraded my windows 8.1 running MCE with 5 dual free to air tuners (10 channel record) running TotalMedia 6 and My Movie plugin with 13 row guide. I downloaded the window 10 ISO upgrade, it told me I would lose MCE, said yes and proceeded. Then I ran the MCE standalone 8.1 from here http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...=1#post1142647, rebooted and everything was there as normal, no errors and you would not know you were running in windows 10.
The boys at My Digital Life have put 5 months into getting MCE to work in Windows 10 (great job) also the tools for changing themes etc all still work as well, so long as the coders here don't change MyMovies to stop working in MCE all is good. The boys on the Green Button forum are making new themes for MCE in windows 10 also so to give it that new look and feel.
I run My Movies database on a Windows server 2012 Essential server and my Windows 10 MCE centre's access the server via the My Movies MCE plugin along with the Total Media 6 MCE plugin which also plays the DVD discs as well, no different than a windows 8.1 install.
If you want to try it first clone your hard drive and use the clone as the test bed to do the windows 10 upgrade, it just installed for me with no errors, once I was happy I just made a restore point in case Microsoft sent thru any updates that might break the install as a later date.
If your in the US they have got the cable window 10 MCE version running also now?
