So I have multiple boxed sets that scanned in but don't have the "children" listed. Was told that I'd have to get the program for my computer in order to fix the issue myself. So I did. Except when clicking on the offending title, there is no "add children" option. The only thing is a "series/box sets" button that would let me take all of my other movies and add them onto the title. Do I have to seriously add all of the movie titles separately, then scroll through over all 1,500 of my titles and add them with this stupid button? There has to be an easier way, but I can't seem to find it. Can somebody please give me a step by step that doesn't span the entire "help" section(which was pretty useless I gotta say}. This program does not have a very user friendly interface.

But that's for adding titles if its listed as a box set or for creating one from scratch. The issue I'm having is they are not listed that way. They're simply listed as a Disc Title. So should I just create a new entry and report the others? Or is there a way to change somebodies already submitted info from single title to box set?

The procedure I use if child titles are not added the first time is to remove the parent title from my collection and then re-add it using the Desktop software instead of the mobile app. When adding using the desktop version it will also ask if you want to add the child titles too. If there are no child titles associated with the parent title then you will have to contribute them yourself as noted in andycob's message.

I think you may have miss understood, the links I provided cover how to create a full box set. The parent profile may already exist or not but the procedure is exactly the same. A box set parent is just a disc title like any other, if the parent does not exist at all then it can be created and contributed. The parent can be created and contributed on its own and then have the childs added later or the whole set can be made at once.

The parent profile of a box set is just a disc title like any other, if no user has created and contributed the full box set then the child titles will not exist, but just the parent may, in which case you can as outlined in the document and tutorial video create the needed child profiles and then assemble the box set using the parent from the web service and contribute it.

You cannot make another entry for the same barcode if the parent exists, and we cannot create full box sets for you unfortunately as it requires ownership of the title, so reporting should not be required unless another user has added an incorrect IMDB ID which a user cannot remove. That is actually exactly what is in both the document and video.

So just as in the video and document if the parent already exists you simply add that to your collection, then create the required child profiles, assemble the box set using the series/boxset button and selecting the child titles you created, then contribute the full box set.

Will the mobile app ever support adding titles as pre-existing boxsets? This was one of the main reasons I upgraded to MyMovies 2 for Android, but I believe it was said that the new Android program would support that, but it's been almost a year and I still have to delete them and add them through the Desktop client for it to realize it's a boxset and add the appropriate children..

Yes - it appears that there is a bug in the processing after the addition of the queue functionality in Android - we are working on resolving it.

Well, I'm glad to hear it's known. Honestly, this is the only kink in the program for me. Thanks for everything you guys do!
