After about 10 years using MyMovies, I'm finally getting around to using the conversion feature. There are two things that I cannot figure out - Foreign language Blu-ray films with subtitles, and television series.

Foreign language Blu-Ray, I know the converter cannot handle directly, so I'm trying to come up with a method that will work to produce a file that MM will play using the Play Directly feature. I'm stuck. I have MKV rips with burned in subtitles which I have tried converting with handbrake using profiles that mimic the MM XML profiles. No joy. I have tried using MCEBuddy as well. No joy. Here's what I don't understand. The files the MCEBuddy outputs (either MP4 or M4V) will play just fine on every PC, iPad, and iPhone if I open the file directly using a file manager. If I attempt to play the file using MM Play Directly, it will open the file and present a black screen with no run time. It doesn't matter how long I wait, the film never plays.

TV Series - The MM Converter converts the series just fine, but when you attempt to play anything from the series, Ply Directly only gives a "The Request Timed Out" error.

Can anyone provide some insight into what I'm doing wrong so I can get these last two things working correctly?

Log files attached to the thread.

Thanks!

Tom

On the TV Series, I think the server tries to do some meta tagging updates that don't complete with in the time period. I've seen this on many files not just tvseries. I've complained about it many times to no satisfaction.

FYI: I concede that i may give incorrect feedback, but I will try to be accurate as possible
