Upgrade Options Explained

My Movies 6 is now available as a significantly improved version of My Movies 5, and there are several upgrade options available for you to choose from.

We have historically aimed to release a new major version every second year; however, for several important reasons, we are changing this approach with My Movies 6.

While a significant part of our costs goes into developing new features, the majority of our expenses come from maintaining the services we provide—ensuring broad and stable coverage of physical media, movies, and TV series data, as well as offering support for data corrections, usage assistance, servers, hosting, and more.

Many users have supported our service by purchasing upgrades when released (thank you!), but a significant number continue to use app versions that are many years old, even though our service costs are ongoing. This situation is unsustainable for continued service operation.

You can now choose between auto-renewable yearly subscription options or a non-auto-renewable purchase that includes two years of service access.

- The discounted auto-renewable subscriptions are yearly, and the subscription renews automatically until canceled.

- The non-auto-renewable purchase includes the app and two years of service access, after which the app becomes read-only until a new two-year period or an auto-renewable subscription is purchased.

With the non-auto-renewable purchase, we maintain an option for users who prefer not to have an automatically renewing subscription. After two years, you can decide whether to renew, and if not, you retain read-only access to your collection.

We have never offered our apps with unlimited free upgrades, but with My Movies 6, the included service period after purchase is now limited to two years.

We recommend all users adopt the yearly auto-renewable subscription option, but the choice is yours—both upgrade options are discounted by up to 50%, and upgrading outside the release month of My Movies 6 will be at full price.

You will have the following discounted upgrade options until December 31st:

- The cross-platform premium subscription at a permanent 50% discount: $24.99 (USD), €29.99, or £24.99 after discount. Yearly payment. (Recommended)

- The iPhone/iPad standard subscription at a permanent 35% discount: $12.99, €14.99, or £12.99 after discount. Yearly payment.

- The non-renewable two-year subscription option with 50% discount: $19.99 (USD), €22.99, or £19.99 after discount. Includes app and service operation for two years, after which the app becomes read-only.

We recommend the cross-platform premium subscription, which covers full functionality across all our platforms: Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows, macOS, Web, and our upcoming Android TV and Apple TV apps.

Notice! If you cancel a discounted subscription, you cannot later re-subscribe with the same discount.
